Most people use AI the way they used Google in 1999 — type something in, take what comes out. But effective AI collaboration is a skill, and the gap between someone who knows how to work with AI and someone who doesn't is growing fast. A study by Anthropic analysing nearly 10,000 real Claude conversations found that only 30% of users explicitly set collaboration expectations upfront — and that users who iterate and refine their prompts demonstrate 2.67x more AI fluency behaviours than those who stop after a single exchange.
This workshop is built around Anthropic's AI Fluency Framework, developed in partnership with academic experts. The 4D model covers four core dimensions of effective AI interaction: Delegation (knowing when and what to hand off to AI), Description (giving context that actually produces useful outputs), Discernment (evaluating and questioning what AI returns), and Diligence (applying appropriate care and responsibility). These are not abstract principles — each dimension maps directly to practical habits your team will practise during the day.
The Anthropic AI Fluency Index research revealed a striking paradox: when users received polished-looking outputs like documents, code, or presentations, critical evaluation actually decreased by 5.2 percentage points — precisely when it matters most. We address this directly in the workshop. Your team will learn to stay curious and questioning even when the output looks finished, and to distinguish between AI that's confidently right and AI that's confidently wrong.
Participants will leave with hands-on experience using Claude for real work tasks — not toy examples. We focus on the kinds of workflows that are already part of your team's day: writing, research, analysis, summarisation, planning, and decision support. Each person builds their own practical prompt library and leaves with a clear sense of where AI adds the most value in their role specifically.
The format is fully facilitated and requires no technical background. We run sessions in your office, adapted to your team's starting point and goals. Whether your team is entirely new to AI or already experimenting individually, the workshop meets them where they are and takes them further.
